The City Center West Orange is the ideal destination for both business and pleasure. Being close to everything that matters, the City Center is a mere 15 minutes from Disney, downtown Orlando and the Orange County Convention Center. Their aim is to become a sought-after destination that captivates both residents and visitors with its main street and waterfront charm, as well as with its classic, Mediterranean design.

The City Center invites you to take advantage of the dynamic selection of dining, shopping, entertainment, and professional services available in Ocoee’s newest community. With plans that include approximately 1,720 condominium and apartment homes in 29 Palms at City Center, a convention center, hotel, recreational trails, and more than half a million square feet of commercial space, why would you want to be anywhere else?

The center is across from a major hospital in the growing community of Ocoee. And in 2014, Central Florida welcomed 62 million visitors, making it the ideal business location with 60,000 daytime visitors and 70,000 households within a 5 mile radius.

We’re excited to see what’s to come for the City Center West Orange, and we are thrilled to have them as a lead sponsor for the 2017 Ocoee Founders’ Day Festival!

Spayed Koolie is the powerhouse duo of David Dorr and Neal Phillips. While their focus has always been songwriting, they also bring their live talents to diverse venues, playing as their traditional duo or expanding the band to six pieces for bigger events. Spayed Koolie has even performed at huge events such as the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), where Phillips’ song “Songwriter” received a standing ovation. Additionally, the duo has performed at Nashville’s Commodore Grille, and they’ve opened for Montgomery Gentry, Kellie Pickler, and .38 Special.

Between the two artists, Spayed Koolie is responsible for the writing of over 100 original songs. Dorr’s inspiration comes from his rollercoaster life, with his songs focusing largely on relationships. Phillips’ songs are on the lighter side, and his easygoing “Catholic Country Song” saw him listed as “One to Watch” by NSAI in March 2015. Whether heavy or light in subject matter, Dorr and Phillips are committed to writing the best songs possible, and selling or licensing them to be enjoyed by the masses.

It’s always a pleasure having Spayed Koolie perform at the Ocoee Founders’ Day Festival, and this year will be no different! Catch them live on stage Friday, November 3rd – it’s a sho you don’t want miss!

Love and Theft was formed in 2006 by Eric Gunderson, Brian Bandas, and Stephen Barker Liles.  A pop-country act built around striking harmonies that had their fans swooning from the beginning, Love and Theft was offered a deal with the Disney-affiliated country label, Lyric Street Records, after performing for ASCAP representatives.

Soon after, they released their debut album, World Wide Open, in mid-2009. The album’s first single, “Runaway,” peaked at #10 on the country singles chart, while the album also cracked the country Top Ten. Sadly, Disney closed the record label in April 2010, and the group went looking for a new label. Bandas left the band in 2011, so Gunderson and Liles continued as a duo.

They were signed to RCA Nashville later that same year. A single from the duo, “Angel Eyes,” became a major country hit, and their self-titled album jumped to #4 on the country albums survey. Love and Theft parted ways with RCA Nashville and launched their own label, Hate & Purchase Music. Their self-released album, Whiskey on My Breath, dropped in February 2015, with the album’s title track rising to #31 on the country singles chart. In 2016, Love and Theft signed with Curb Records.

“We wanted to show a different side and make a record that sounds like us,” Stephen Barker Liles says of Love and Theft’s boundary-pushing new album, Whiskey On My Breath. “Country music has always been about honest performances and songs that mean something, and that’s the kind of record that we wanted to make.”

Their newest single, “Love Wins,” is out now, and we cannot wait to hear them perform it live on Saturday night, November 4th at the annual Ocoee Founders’ Day Festival!

A relative newcomer to the country music scene, Craig Campbell, this contemporary country star has been blessed with a deep, expressive voice. He has a strong awareness of the genre’s history, and a no-gimmicks approach to performance that brings out the sincerity in his songs.

Growing up in Georgia, Campbell played the piano at his mother’s church from the ages of ten to eighteen. Although his home was filled with gospel music, he was drawn to the country music genre, particularly to the sounds of Travis Tritt, whose gospel-fueled delivery suited Campbell’s own vocal style. As a musically-inclined teenager, Campbell formed a band, Out of the Blue, and began performing in local bars, learning how to put together a performance that would capture the attention of an audience.

In 2002, he relocated to Nashville, quickly immersing himself in the music scene. He met and fell in love with another singer, Mindy Ellis, and the pair eventually married. Campbell also began playing piano in her band, which in turn led to a touring stint with Tracy Byrd. Campbell’s big break came when Keith Stegall caught one of Campbell’s performances – the star was signed to Bigger Picture shortly thereafter and released a debut single, “Family Man” in 2010. He followed followed it with a full-length album, the self-titled Craig Campbell, in 2011, and his second album, Never Regret, in May of 2013.

How excited are y’all to see him perform live at this year’s Ocoee Founders’ Day Festival on Saturday night, November 4th? We can’t wait!

Dwight David Yoakam is an American singer-songwriter, musical superstar and actor, most famous for his pioneering country music. He’s been in the music business since the early 1980s, and released over twenty one albums, charted more than thirty singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, and sold more than 25 million records. He has recorded five Billboard #1 albums, twelve gold albums, and nine platinum albums, including the triple platinum This Time. In addition to his many achievements throughout the music industry, he is also the most frequent musical guest in the history of The Tonight Show.

In June 2014, Rolling Stone ranked the song “Guitars, Cadillacs” #94 in their list of the 100 greatest country songs!

We were thrill when Yoakam announced a new studio album, in February 2015, titled Second Hand Heart and released on April 14. In 2016, he supported the album by performing at the C2C: Country to Country festival in Europe. He performed at the Americana Music Honors & Awards, announcing that he was working on a new album of all bluegrass songs. The album, titled Swimmin’ Pools, Movie Stars…, was released in September 2016.

We cannot wait to have such country music royalty perform live on Saturday, November 4th, at the Ocoee Founders’ Day Festival!
